I have always enjoyed photographing wildflowers. They come in a virtual rainbow of colors and run the gamut from large and gaudy to sublimely colorful and barely visible. I'm reminded of a couple Bible verses that are favorites of mine. "And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these." From Matthew 6:28, 29. What can you say? They're just beautiful and pleasing to look at.
Surprisingly, Southern California has it's fair share of them. From the poppies to the wild chicory in the desert, there are plenty to chose from. All we need is plenty of rainfall especially later in the winter season and they'll come up. They make such lovely subjects for postage stamps as well. I have a number of them for sale and, here are my recent designs for your enjoyment. Thanks for looking and please consider my stamps next time you're in need of snailmail postage stamps.

A Big Hole in the Ground?
Well, I guess you can call the Grand Canyon that. I think a better desription is spectacular, mgnificent, marvelous, majestic and any number of other adjectives that will apply. Native Americans call it spiritual. If you've never been, go. Whatever it takes, it is well worth the trouble to get there.
I've put on display some Grand Canyon postage stamps that you may use for your snailmail needs. Enjoy and, as always, thanks for looking.

Post Cards, A lost Art?
Remember when people used to send postcards? How long has it been since you received one? Now I'm not talking about appointment reminders or ads for a local business. I'm talking about maybe one from a friend or family member on a trip or from someone that just thought about you and wanted to say hi. Whatever the reason, it seems we don't send these much anymore. I actually received one last summer from family members on a trip. It was a little thing but, it brightened my day. Are you thinking of someone and don't have the ability to call them or don't have the time to write a letter or, lengthy email? A postcard can be just the thing for you then. Please consider these but, there are a lot more out there. Brighten somebody's day and send a quick note! Thanks for looking!

Gifting
All of us from time to time give gifts. It can be from the truly simple to the insanely extravagant. All of them carry the same feeling with them and that is the recipient means something special. Valentine's Day is coming next month and most of us that have someone special in our lives will probably give a gift of some kind. The gift box is more than just a container to convey the gift but also a part of the overall experience for the recipient.
Consider using one of these gift boxes to give that special person that special gift you worked so hard to purchase or create.
My premium boxes are wood, come in 2 sizes and have a magnetic closure to secure the lid.
My Tile Lid Boxes come in 2 sizes and 4 colors. They also have a hinged lid and are lined with felt. They are suitable for use as a jewelry box.
The cool thing is the boxes can be used for years to come to store those little treasures we collect. They are attractive and will look nice on anyone's dresser, nightstand or wherever! I will post more of these little jewels in the near future so, stay tuned. Thanks for looking!

Thank You
Saying thank you is the courteous thing to do when someone does a kindness, invites you out for coffe or a meal or gives a gift. I don't know how it is in other areas but, it seems people have forgotten the manners I know they were taught growing up. How you treat others that give or serve you says a lot about you as person. My 5 year old Grand Daughter is learning about manners and she already has better manners than probably 90% of the drivers in California. Lets face it, selfishness is not very pretty. How many adults do you know that are like a selfish child? Whether it's just good karma or good manners, a thank you is so easy to give. I heard someone say the other day in a tip on how to be classy, "Get a box of thank you cards and give one when someone does something kind to you or gives you a gift. People will think you're not only nice but, very classy too." Guess what? they will remember you as well. Want someone to think kindly about you? Want to revolt against the entitlement mentality? Then send them a thank you card!
Below are some good choices on thank you cards. First are a couple of Christmas Thank You cards for those that are still procrastinating about it.
These are for any other occasion.
