Today's image is of a small fly catcher perched for just a moment. It sat there just for a second until it saw it's next victim and flew off to catch and consume it. I've noticed this behavior in many other creatures. Sitting quietly until the prey is close enough to pounce on and have lunch. The challenge is to focus and shoot before the bird flies off. Exposure has to be set before the shutter is released. It helps if the bird has a particular perch that it uses all the time. You can focus on the perch. If you're lucky, the bird will come back to the same perch and all you have to do is shoot. It all came together with today's image. Please enjoy it and thanks for looking!
