The Clock Strikes

The clock strikes birds it seems. At least at Florals by Fred. My clock creations have taken on an Ornithology look this week as I received a request for a bird clock. Well, here you go! I hope you like them and please, enjoy the video.

Greetings

I did a search today on the topic "Why send Christmas cards?" The results were varied and some were quite interesting. Tradition? Fun? A record of family growth? A waste of time, paper and postage? As I said, some interesting results. For us, it's not only a tradition but it's a way to stay in touch with people we've known over the years. The short note or letters that we get are fun to read and see how we're all progressing through the adventure of life. So, if you feel obligated, habitual or festive and really DO care, I hope my cards will fill that need. If not, enjoy the video and the pictures. Don't worry, I won't think you're a Grinch.

The giving of Christmas cards began in 1843 by Sir Henry Cole in the UK. For that story, go here: History of Christmas Cards.

A sweet fireplace image with Scripture

I haven't designed much this week but, here are some recent things I designed that will make excellent Christmas gifts. I have included some products from Scripture Classics today. It's a set of products with Lamentations 3:40 kind of arched a little in the upper left corner on a really nice background of a fireplace complete with a roaring fire. Next week I'll be blogging almost every day to get some exposure on all of the different ornaments and other Christmas goodies I have.  Enjoy the video!

Veteran's Day and a Surprise!

First thing I want to to offer my thanks to our veterans for your service and sacrifice. This video is dedicated to you and your service, please enjoy!

One of the surprising things I have noted with my zazzle shop "Florals by Fred" is, the popularity of my amateur radio related gifts. In particular the the tie shown below. I also have mousepads, shirts, hats, business cards and many other products that appeal to the Ham Radio enthusiast. Personally, I enjoy playing on the air waves. In so doing I've been to every continent on the planet with the exception of Antarctica. Well at least my radio emissions have. Today for instance, I plan to get on the air and wish any vets I run across a happy Veteran's Day. I personally like this. First though, enjoy the video I have included of a local repeater system then, please look at the ties I have listed.
